A few words about
Bruno Pereira and dental aesthetics
I did my specialisation at NYU, 15 years ago. At that time, some of my mentors were already concerned about facial features to improve the results of their dental treatments. So I decided to take a step forward and start studying the aesthetics of the nose, lips and chin and how they affect our smile.
I finished my PhD in Facial Aesthetics 5 years ago. This work is now published in international books and journals. While I was doing my research, all the people asked me “why do you study nose and lips if you are a dentist?” And I always replied that we have to be consistent with the frame that surrounds our smile, our face. You cannot treat them separately, otherwise you will never get a natural result.
